Additive Manufacturing for Construction
Construction runs on schedules that supply chains routinely fail to meet. A single custom bracket on a twelve-week lead time from overseas can hold up a programmed that everything else is ready for. Additive manufacturing addresses that directly: the part is produced regionally, on demand, in the quantity actually required.
3DTIV supplies contractors, MEP specialists, and fabricators across the UAE and GCC with additive systems suited to custom components, replacement parts, and small-batch production.
Why Construction Firms Use Additive Manufacturing
-
Custom components produced within the region rather than ordered from overseas suppliers with long lead times and minimum order quantities.
-
Where a project requires a fitting that does not exist off the shelf, additive manufacturing produces it without tooling investment.
-
Broken or missing parts for plant, equipment, and installed systems reproduced quickly rather than waiting on discontinued stock.
-
Physical mock-ups of connections, fittings, and interfaces tested before committing to bulk fabrication.
-
Where a project needs fifty of something rather than five thousand, additive manufacturing avoids the tooling costs that make small runs uneconomical.
Recommended Systems for Construction Applications
Most construction applications are served well by mid-size metal platforms. The FS273M offers a 275×275×355mm envelope suited to fittings, brackets, and connectors at an economical production cost, with a compact footprint that fits into existing workshop space. The FS350M extends to 433×358×400mm with multi-laser configuration for larger components and higher throughput.
For patterns, mock-ups, and non-load-bearing components, the 403P series provides polymer capability at lower cost per part.
Materials for Construction Applications
Farsoon's metal portfolio includes stainless steels for corrosion resistance — relevant across Gulf coastal environments and high-humidity conditions — alongside aluminium alloys for lightweight fittings and tool steels for durable, high-wear components. Polymer materials including PA12 and PA11 handle patterns, mock-ups, and non-structural fittings.
3DTIV also distributes Forward AM materials, extending the polymer options available for patterns, mock-ups, and site-specific fittings.
Additive manufacturing for construction generally serves custom, replacement, and small-batch components rather than replacing conventional supply for standard high-volume items. Where a part is available off the shelf in bulk, conventional supply usually remains the more economical route. The value is in everything that falls outside that.
Book a demonstration
3DTIV Tech is the exclusive partner for the sale and servicing of Farsoon Technology printers across the GCC. That means machine support, spare parts, training, and technical advice come from within the region rather than from an overseas support desk in a different time zone.
Our Dubai demonstration centre allows aerospace teams to benchmark their own part files on Farsoon machines before committing to a purchase — a practical way to answer qualification and repeatability questions before capital is spent.
